My art is a mystical practice in sacred geometry, wielding color and line to conjure the sensation of dynamic forms, made with oil, acrylic, oil stick, metallic pigments, ink, crayon and liquid paper on canvas, and museum board The optical illusions created in these pieces are born from a flat, two-dimensional surface, and can only exist within the viewer's mind. I employ Expressionism to breathe life into these four-dimensional creations, weaving whimsical arabesques that dance between figuration and abstraction.
My work is driven by a series of profound ecstatic experiences, most specifically from over a decade ago, when I experienced crippling sciatica, and was unable to walk for three months. I had visions of sacred geometric forms intermixing and overlapping our shared reality. These paintings are the eye of GOD materialized. Metatron's Cube! The Tesseract! The Merkaba, a Hypercube. A thing that is everything and nothing, reconciling it with the limits of material form, to foster a profound optical experience of the transcendental.
